Shiva Triology Part 3
The Oath of the Vayuputras

๐Ÿ”ฑLet me be honest. Few critics got disappointed with part three. But why read book with preconceived notions of Shiva’s life. Author mentions loud and clear about book being fiction and that Shiva was born mortal man and his deeds (karmas)ย  make him immortal.

๐Ÿ”ฑShiva’s quest of what is affecting the nation leads to the difference between good and evil which is interpreted so well that evil no longer feels dangerous or scary, but obvious with intentions or reasons! Good and evil are two sides of coins where good just gets so extracted or abused that it turns into evil! Shiva decides to avenge an evil on the path which leads to war, but with learning all aspects of it.ย  Somras! An elixir of longevity that had served Meluhans all along, but due to over production began to poison rivers, also causing deformity and other side effects to many. Shiva notices his own clan in standing tall against him as root cause,so he leaves for Pariha to sort the matter meeting vayuputras,a legendary tribe and something very unexpected happens in his absence. For me this was total devastating since I followed character so closely.

๐Ÿ”ฑEnraged by it Shiva destroys the Meluha and wipes out somras with help of Nagas,Vasudevs and Vayuputras.
I personally liked the discussion between Lord Gopal & Shiva,Kartik’s battle with Magadhan’s and Sati’s battle with Aten tribe.

๐Ÿ”ฑThe Triology gives very satisfying conclusion to the series. All the loose ends are deciphered effectively too. Through the Dharma and Karma philosophy, using the backdrop of ancient era author has woven an interesting and intriguing mythological story portraying divine journey of Shiva. Whenever darkness will rise,it will be destroyed by divine light!
