❤️FORTY RULES OF LOVE ❤️

The Indian Reading Duo

BOOK REVIEW🇮🇳📚
Book- Forty rules of love
Author- Elif Shafak
Genre- Literary fiction
Published- March 2009

❤️ Ella who gets cheated by her husband and works as a reader, gets ‘Sweet Blasphemy’ novel for review as her first assignment. This novel swifts her into new world. In thirteenth century,a wandering dervish Shams of Tabriz sees visions of his death and is destined to impart his mystic philosophy of love, comprehension and knowledge to pass on to someone. To seek that,he proceeds from Samarkand to Baghdad.

❤️ On the way in Konya he gets to know a complacent, respected Islamic scholar Mowlana Jallaluddin Rumi. Despite his thousands of followers, admirers and disciples he used to feel unfathomable hollowness within. Like a magnet, his focus attracts straight away to Shams’s verses. Shams preaches essential Sufi wisdoms with eminent philosophical insights. Time to time Shams also recites forty rules of love which are peculiarly elegant and beguiling. I personally totally loved them! They have perfect essence of life and spirituality enlightening the fact – “Follow your heart.”

Rule 3You can study God through everything and everyone in the universe, because God is not confined in a mosque, synagogue or church. But if you are still in need of knowing where exactly his abode is,there is only one place to look for him: in the heart of true lover.

❤️ While reading this narration Ella realises that Rumy’s story mirrors her own and the author is showing her path to ease her own life.

❤️ A French born Turkish author- Elif’s impactful writing itself is tribute to solitude.
All the narration of story is lyrically approachable and graceful. She has chosen all words like pearls to make an exquisite necklace❤️

❤️SHAMS OF TABRIZ AND HIS FORTY RULES OF LOVE IS MESMORISING & BEAUTIFUL READ! THEY TRULY RESONATE EVERYBODY’S LIFE❤️
